Mountain Lion
The Mountain Lion (also known as a Cougar) is a solitary, shy and reclusive mammal, rarely seen in the wild. Though it can be as large as a leopard, it does not have the specialized larnyx of the Panthera Family, (leaving the Mountain Lion unable to roar) making it the largest of all the “small cats” ( in the Felidae Family). Though it cannot roar, the Mountain Lion is known for its “scream” and “hissing” vocalizations. This Mountain Lion actually stopped to purr in the morning sun before meandering back down the majestic, Montana mountainside.
